eLearnings
Mazda or SCORM 2004 Mode
When uploading an e-Learning you may choose between mode Mazda or SCORM 2004. The difference is how the result of the
e-Learning is actually determined.
The Mazda Mode is currently the default setting which is most used. The evaluation is performed by the
provided score.
The passing score can be used from the eLearning itself or by a user specified limit.
In the SCORM2004 mode the evaluation is performed by additional information provided by the eLearning.
The criteria for passing the e-Learning may be completion and success or success only.
Both information are provided by the e-Learning itself.
Completion and success criterion means for example 100% slide views, and complete the test at the end of an eLearning with a
passing score. Success only means to pass the test of the eLearning dependently if the user has done or watched the slides of
the eLearning
Settings
The settings (if the eLearning passing score or your own specified limit should be used) for each mode can be set
under Maindata-->Preferences at the point eLearnings.
The settings can be defined for each mode on separate levels - either global, for the market,
or a specific course provider.
"Not active" denotes to use a more general setting (market or global). Furthermore one may define to use the limit as a default value
if it was not provided by the e-Learning itself. By forcing the limit, the setting of the e-Learning will be overridden.
Define the scoring mode and evaluation mode on uploading
Define the scoring mode used for running e-Learning contents.
Define the criteria used for the evaluation of e-Learning contents. For Mazda scoring there is only one selection available, which uses the score to decide if the user passes or fails. When using SCORM 2004 one may choose between completion and success or success only. Success is either determined directly (state is sent by the e-Learning) or indirectly using a possible score.
